New Artists (Norway, Armenia, Italy)

Today we will meet Norway’s, Armenia’s and Italy’s artists for Basel! Let’s go!

Norway: Kyle Alessandro – “Lighter”

Kyle Alessandro not only won but smashed Melodi Grand Prix 2025 with 307 points and will represent Norway with the song ‘Lighter’.  The final took place at the Spektrum in Oslo and 9 acts in total were competing for the desired ticket to Basel.

At just 19 years old, Kyle is already a seasoned performer. He first stole Norwegian hearts at 10 years old on Norske Talenter (the Norwegian version of Got Talent), and he’s been hanging around the music scene ever since, casually dropping singles, albums, and TV appearances like it’s no big deal.

His Eurovision entry, “Lighter,” is a deeply personal song inspired by his mother’s advice: never lose your light. It’s all about resilience, hope, and shining bright even when life throws you a curveball. Which, considering his last-place finish in MGP 2023 with Umami Tsunami, is pretty poetic. Talk about a glow-up!

Armenia: Parg – “Survivor”

Parg took the crown at  Depi Evratesil 2025 proving that he truly is a ‘Survivor’. He won the televote but came second with both the national and international juries. Still, it was enough to secure his ticket to Eurovision!

Parg has been making waves in the Armenian music scene since 2021, dropping his debut single “Ginin u grely” and even collaborating with Brunette (Armenia’s 2023 Eurovision star). He also achieved a nomination for Best Music Video in 2024.

Italy: Lucio Corsi – ‘Volevo Essere Un Duro’

Italy’s road to Eurovision 2025 was a classic Sanremo plot twist. Lucio Corsi, who finished second at the 75th Sanremo Festival, suddenly found himself heading to Eurovision after the winner, Olly, politely said, “Grazie, ma no grazie,” citing a packed summer schedule.

At 31 years old, Lucio has been carving out his own space in the Italian music scene for over a decade, starting with local bands in Tuscany before launching a solo career in Milan. Since his first EPs in 2015, he’s been steadily releasing albums, with his latest single, “Tu Sei Il Mattino,” even making waves as part of Vita da Carlo’s third season on Paramount+. Now, with his song “Volevo Essere Un Duro,” Lucio is ready to bring his signature style to the Eurovision stage.
