The big Host City reveal just happened and the 69th Eurovision Song Contest will happen in…..Basel! Basel was selected between a final shortlist of two Swiss cities, Geneva and of course Basel.
This would be the third time Switzerland will be hosting the contest; the first time was in 1956 in Lugano (which was the first ever Eurovision Song Contest!), and the second time in Lausanne in 1989.
