New Artists (Moldova, Malta, Luxembourg)

Moldova

Moldova is on duty! After taking a one-year break, the country is entering the Eurovision arena stronger than ever. Moldova will be represented by Satoshi with the song “Viva, Moldova.”

Satoshi won Selecția Națională 2026 on the 17th of January, sweeping everything: first place with the public vote, the jury vote, and the international jury. We love to see a clean sweep.

Who is Satoshi?

Satoshi is the musical project of 27-year-old Moldovan rapper Vlad Sabajuc. His love for music started early — writing his own songs as a child and teaching himself how to play the drums. In 2022, he officially launched the Satoshi project, and since then his rise has been unstoppable. He’s now one of Moldova’s biggest artists, with four albums released and contracts with major music labels.

The song “Viva, Moldova” is an alternative rap-rock anthem designed to make people move. It’s loud, joyful, and unapologetically Moldovan, celebrating the country’s culture and history with lyrics referencing wine, soup, and the Romanian language. According to Satoshi, the song was written specifically for Eurovision — with one goal in mind: to make the arena go wild.

Satoshi is already confirmed to perform at the Nordic Eurovision Party, London Eurovision Fundraiser (LEF)

, and London Eurovision Party (LEP) in April, and we honestly can’t wait to dance along to this high-energy banger.

Moldova will perform in the first semi-final on May 12th.

Malta

Aidan has done it! He won the Malta Eurovision Song Contest (MESC) with his song “Bella,” securing the much-wanted ticket to Vienna. He won the jury vote and finished second with the televote — a strong and well-earned victory.

Who is Aidan?

One of Malta’s biggest names, Aidan is no stranger to the Eurovision universe. His journey began back in 2015, when he competed in the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

In 2018, he made his MESC debut with “Dai Laga”, finishing in 4th place. He returned in 2022 with “Ritmu”, which placed second, went viral, and even earned him a performance at LEP. And just when you thought the story couldn’t get more dramatic — in 2023, Aidan came back with “Regina”, only to be disqualified due to social media posts that went against PBS rules.

On top of all that, he also served as the Maltese jury spokesperson at ESC 2022.

The song “Bella,” performed in both Maltese and English, is a powerful orchestral pop ballad written by Aidan, Joep van den Boom, and Sarah Bonnici (remember when she got us on Loop in Malmo 2024?). Emotional, dramatic, and beautifully produced, it’s a song that knows how to make an impact.

Malta will perform in the second semi-final on May 14th.

Luxembourg

Luxembourg is back again! This year, the country will be represented by Eva Marija with her song “Mother Nature.” Eva won the Luxembourg Song Contest on the 24th of January, taking first place with both the jury and the public vote.

Who is Eva?

Eva Marija is a 20-year-old Luxembourgish singer-songwriter with a deep-rooted passion for music. Her inspiration to start playing the violin came from none other than Alexander Rybak’s iconic “Fairytale” performance — proof that Eurovision truly changes lives.

She studied music at the Luxembourg Conservatory and is currently in her final year studying songwriting at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London.

According to Eva, “Mother Nature” uses nature as a symbol of hope and freedom, encouraging listeners to reconnect with their inner child and let go of fear. It’s gentle, meaningful, and very Eurovision-coded.

Luxembourg will also perform in the second semi-final on May 14th.
