New Artists (Switzerland, Bulgaria, Georgia)

Switzerland

Veronica Fusaro was internally selected by the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG SSR) to represent Switzerland in Vienna. SRG SSR opened submissions from 4 to 25 August 2025 inviting artists and composers to send in their songs. And wow — they received 493 entries! After careful consideration, a jury picked Veronica as their number one choice. Not bad at all!

Who is Veronica?

Veronica Fusaro is a Swiss singer and songwriter who first gained attention after appearing on The Voice of Switzerland in 2014. Since then, she’s been steadily building an exciting career. She was named Best Talent of the Month (May 2016) by national radio station SRF3 and has performed at numerous events and festivals — including the legendary Glastonbury Festival.

Her Eurovision song will be released on 11 March, so mark your calendars — we’re curious to hear what Switzerland has in store this year.

Bulgaria

After a three-year absence, Bulgaria is back in the Eurovision game — and they’re making a big comebacl! The country launched its own national selection show called Natsionalnata selektsiya to choose their 2026 representative.

The selection process has two key dates:

  • 31 January 2026 – The artist selection
  • 28 February 2026 – The song selection

The winner of the first stage is Dara, who impressed audiences and juries with her performance of Thunder. She won thanks to a combination of public votes and a jury decision.

Next up, on 28 February, Dara will perform three potential Eurovision songs. The final track will be chosen through a 50/50 vote between the public and a ten-member expert jury.

Who is Dara?

Dara is one of Bulgaria’s biggest pop stars. She rose to fame in late 2015 after reaching the final of X Factor Bulgaria, where she finished third.

Since then, her career has taken off. She has released two albums, multiple successful singles, and appeared in several major shows and projects. Bulgaria clearly means business this year!

Georgia

Georgia has gone for a nostalgic and exciting choice: the music group Bzikebi (which means Wasps) will represent the country at Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

The trio previously made Eurovision history by winning Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with their iconic song Bzz. Now, years later, they’re returning to the Eurovision world — but this time in the adult competition!

It’s always exciting to see former Junior Eurovision stars step onto the main Eurovision stage — and fans will definitely be watching to see what Bzikebi bring this time.
